* Seashell House - Beachfront Haleiwa

Happy Beach Bungalow | Sunsets | AC | Immaculate

Behind the private gate of this quaint beach cottage home is a hidden paradise. Seashell Beach House is an immaculate and bright 2 Bedroom, 1 bath located on 100 linear feet of prime beachfront. Stand up paddle, surf, and swim with turtles just outside your front door. The house is sunny and spotless, a comfortable little retreat in Paradise.

The tropical backyard is set up perfectly for beachside bbq's, and the wrap around lanai is the perfect place to end your day as the sun sinks over the Pacific. The lawn spills down to a sugary beach and turquoise blue water. Seashell is just steps away from several of The North Shore's famous surf breaks such as Chuns, Leftovers, Rightovers, Waimea and Alligator Rock. As there is no nearby public access you'll often have the whole beach to yourself, with the exception of sea turtles bobbing in the water right off shore.

The location is minutes away from Waimea Valley, farmers markets, and local shops. The laid back town of Haleiwa is 3 miles away with shops, galleries, and endless Aloha. Four star golf and restaurants are available close by at Turtle Bay, though few things can beat the experience of eating fresh fruit smoothies or the morning’s catch from one of Haleiwa’s fantastic food trucks. The area boosts tremendous hikes, historical sites, waterfalls, botanical gardens, and, of course, a few of the most famous surf beaches on earth. Pearl Harbor is about 20 miles away, the airport 25, and Waikiki 30.

Wilson Family Northshore Vacation 6/2019
After reading SO many reviews for different VRBO homes on the Northshore , we decided to book with the Seashell Home because of the location! I must say the location was absolutely amazing, directly on the private beach and exactly as the pictures showed! I had some concerns about renting this home because of the reviews stating the home was directly off the highway which made it hard to get out of everyday, and negative comments about the noise coming from the cars on the highway. Yes. Both of these complaints are accurate. It was not fun backing out onto the highway but one of us would literally walk out to the road and stop traffic so we could get out. Not ideal, but it worked. As for the noise coming from the highway, again, yes we heard it, but it didn’t keep any of our 5 family members awake. The home is small and doesn’t have many upgrades but it WORKS & the A/C works! The location is the most important thing on this kind of vacation and you couldn’t PAY me to stay down in Honolulu with the city life and congestion. Our family had an amazing 9 full days of Hawaii life and we enjoyed every minute of it at the Seashell house. Probably wouldn’t stay there again just because 5 adults really need a 3rd bedroom! Only real suggestion I would have to the owners of this property is to invest in a FULL L-shaped couch instead of those little chairs. They were not cozy to relax in late in the day. We set up Eno hammocks and truly spent 90% of our days outside!! Met some very kind neighbors as well. Mahalo -

Seashell Cottage
The house is situated 10 steps from a very private beach. I would’ve given it more stars if the house wasn’t so close to the street. Cars drive by all day and night and when you’re on the beach, no problem. However, if you’re a light sleeper, the traffic might be a problem. The house can use a little sprucing up with decor but if you’re spending time outdoors like we did, then you overlook this. The grass area with the market lights and picnic table was a great place to watch the sunsets.

Manager Response: Thank you for taking the time to review! Like most beach homes on Oahu we are located off the main coastal road, light sleepers may want to consider staying further inland. However, most guests are not bothered, especially if they utilize the a/c and fans at night.

What a great place on the North Shore.
We had a great vacation, the beachfront location is superb, the verandah for breakfast or dinner is beautiful. Close enough to Haleiwa for some meals and good facilities to eat in. One day we didn’t use the rental car just walked the beaches, watched the whales & turtles, laid in the sun, read books and grilled steaks for dinner.

Check out the location it is on the busy highway and the house is an original older bungalow style, get past that and you’ll have a great time.

Manager Response: Thank you for staying with us, and for taking the time to leave a review! You are correct, this is a classic little beach home that is perfect for truly relaxing. We are so happy you were able to relax on the beach and watch the whales and turtles! If prospective guests have any questions about the house or its location please don't hesitate to call us for more details.

Perfect North Shore Cabin
We loved the seashell house! It was the best little cabin on the North Shore we have stayed at yet.

Manager Response: Thank you so much for the compliment, we are so happy you enjoyed our home!

GREAT Place To Stay!!
This is a great North Shore getaway whether you're coming from out of state or just want to get away from downtown for the weekend. Some reviews mentioned the noise from the highway. We didn't experience that. The beautiful sound of the waves -- which are RIGHT outside your door -- drown that out. A couple reviews mentioned the house needing a deep clean. We didn't experience that either. Anyone who's lived by the ocean -- especially THIS close to the ocean -- knows that "immaculate" is unreasonable. This place was very clean and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again! Mahalo nut loa to their staff.

The ocean ́s view and the wild beaches are really breathtaking!
It ́s impossible to not fall in love with this place, half of my heart remained here! From the main room ́s window and the terrace you see only the endless ocean and the little wild beaches. The house is located directly on one of those magnificient wild beaches from the North shore. The little beach in front of the property is almost yours, only one morning we had a couple of fishermen doing their job. The little garden is also amazing with its swing facing the ocean. You can park inside of the property.
One of my best experiences that I would repeat anytime!
( My advice to the owners is regarding the place for the soap and shampoo and the bathtub which need some improvements , as for the rest congratulations from all my heart for beeing so lucky to have a little piece of Heaven)

Best wishes,

Great location!
Surf right at the steps with several different breaks within easy walking distance. Very tidy little piece of paradise. Thank you

Beautiful Beach house
We had a blast staying on Chun’s beach. The waves were really fun and fishing was great.
This spot is located between Hale’iwa town and Pūpūkea so easy access to restaurants and stores. I recommend spending 4 or more days
There are 4 of us, plenty of room. ALO)(A

Vacation August 2018
The property was in a great location. The household furniture was a little disappointing. The kitchen chairs were old and uncomfortable as well as the couch. We had a power outage but the flashlight that was there didn’t work, the batteries were old. Would suggest updating furniture and emergency lighting

Family Vacation
Overall is was a good experience and nice place to stay. The location could not have been better. We were so close to the beach & the sound of the waves at night were awesome. The house is off of a very busy road so you really need to back into the parking spot to be able to get back out safely. The road noise is a bit loud, but didn't bother us too bad. There is no garbage disposal @ the sink so that took a little getting adjusted to. It's a cute little house & we loved the beach and waves being right outside the door basically.
