- THE STARFISH HOUSE -
Nestled between the lush mountains of Kulio’o and Maunalua Bay, the Starfish House is a hidden gem. This beautiful gated 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is equipped with a gourmet kitchen, wine fridge, granite counter tops, a pool and hot tub. The master bedroom has direct access to the yard and pool/Jacuzzi area. Amenities include an outdoor seating area, bbq grill, cable TV and wifi throughout the house.
- THE BEACH -
The Starfish House in only a few minutes’ walk to Maunalua Bay. Some have referred to Maunalua Bay as the watersport capital of Hawaii, and rightfully so. On any given time of day, you can find people fishing, riding jet skis, kayaking, parasailing, and even wake boarding.
- THE NEIGHBORHOOD -
Hawaii Kai is an upscale residential neighborhood in eastern Honolulu. It is very safe and family friendly. Nearby you will find plenty of grocery stores, including Whole Foods and Costco, drug stores, casual dining, upscale restaurants and local boutiques. Haunama Bay is a few minutes down the street for snorkeling, other nearby activities include hiking, parasailing, jet skiing, hang gliding, and golfing. The home is located close to major highway access so is a convenient starting point for day trips. Waikiki is 7 miles away, the airport is 13 miles, and Pearl Harbor 30.

Amazing!
Such a wonderful, peaceful, tranquil home. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Chris was very helpful but you never knew he was there! The only thing I'd say is that the "sleeper sofa" that they list on the amenities is not actually a true sleeper sofa, it'd only sleep maybe a small child so don't expect to put any adults on that!

Beautiful house to stay
Beautiful clean well layed out house with everything we needed. Loved Buddy the friendly cat. Only one thing we didn’t like, the camera watching us outside. Made us feel very uncomfortable. Caretaker lives on site but we only saw him the day we left and he was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again...if the camera wasn’t there.

Great location, lovely house
We had a great time in Hawaii and the Starfish House was lovely. It was in a great spot, not too far from Waikiki, close to shops and seemed to be in quite a safe area.
We didn't realise the caretaker literally lived attached to the house/on the premises - we wished we'd had known this beforehand.
The security camera in the backyard, overlooking the pool made us feel a bit uneasy, especially with children playing in the pool.
The house was very clean but we did encounter and have to kill 4 huge cockroaches and there were ants along the kitchen bench - but that may have been due to the environment we were in.
House was extremely well stocked, which was great and helped with our cooking.
Unfortunately the spa wasn't working and was fixed the night before we left, so didn't get to use it.
Overall, we had a great time and would definitely suggest you consider this house if looking for a place to stay.

Incredible!
The house was everything we imagined and more. Clean, large, great layout, phenomenal pool, and the right distance between everything we wanted to do. Perhaps most importantly, all the beds were comfortable, which generally aren’t when saying at vacation rentals. Can’t wait to stay again, we thank you for letting us stay and fall in love with Hawaii! Mahalo!

Spring Break 2018
Our family of six stayed at the Starfish House for one week at the end of March 2018. It was the perfect place to stay! We especially loved the location! Close enough to Waikiki if you wanted to go out for dinner or on an excursion, but far enough that you felt that you were not in the rush of the city life. Even better, if you went east you were just around the corner from pristine beaches with minimal people! We loved it and would definitely stay there again!

Starfish House was great!
We had a wonderful time staying in the Starfish House - was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need (and forgot at the grocery store), located in a quiet neighborhood and only about 1/2 from the airport and Waikiki. Tons of room and the backyard/pool was amazing. We had a wonderful time touring Hawaii and it was wonderful coming 'home' and relaxing! Chris was amazing!

Great Rental, Convenient Location
This is a wonderful rental at a very convenient location. The home is of high quality, the kitchen is very well stocked, the house has everything that you will need for a wonderful home away from home. Communications from Hawaii Beach Homes were outstanding. They sent me emails before, during, and after our stay to make sure everything was ok. I was initially worried about the awkwardness to have the care taker living right on site, but Chris is wonderful and we barely saw him. You won’t be disappointed.

Oasis on Oahu
We just finished an 11 night stay at the Starfish house and it was everything we expected. Beautiful house, great amenities and in a perfect location. Less than 30 min from the airport and the bustle of downtown Honolulu the house was close to all needed services. Costco, Safeway and Longs (CVS) and several excellent restaurants are a half-mile ride away. There's even a Whole Foods in Kahilua a 15 mile drive away - also some great swimming beaches there. Get out and explore as you can get almost anywhere on the island in a hour or less. Chris the owner/caretaker is great, always there when you need him and invisible when you don't. House cats Buddy and Blackie were sweethearts and lots of fun! Nice quiet neighborhood. Would definitely return to stay here. Tim & Diane from Port Chester NY

Amaaaaazing
This beautiful, very spacious home was even better than it looks in the photos. I miss it and wish I owned it! The street that it is on is not quite as wonderful as this house is but the gorgeous mountains towering nearby help and once you unlock the front door and walk in, you forget all about the street not being as gorgeous as the house. It was immaculate and new and had every comfort we could have hoped for. Chris was an amazing host. At first, it felt very strange knowing he lived in the attached guest quarters but you really don't know he is there! Buddy, the extremely lovable outdoor cat, was a wonderful addition to our stay there. I hope to stay here every time we return to Oahu!!!

WOW!!,
We have rented homes in Florida, Palm Springs, Arizona, Maui and this one in O’ahu. All were good to great, this one was fabulous.
Everything was there for us to use, all we had to buy was food and wine and there is a Costco five minutes away.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and highly recommend this home to everyone!!!
