Great time on North Shore!!
The property was exactly as described. We were very thrilled with the amenities, location and overall experience. We’d recommend this property especially for a family, girls trip, a few couples or just a place to reconnect in the North Shore area. Close to all the popular attractions and just steps from the most majestic beach.

Amazing Stay!
The Surf Cottage completely lived up to our expectations and more!! 100 ft off the beach (which is all but deserted everyday), lots of beach chairs/toys and wonderfully equipped kitchen. The house is fantastic! AC in 3 of 4 rooms. This place accommodated our group of 7 quite comfortably. The screened in patio was awesome for hanging out at night time. Can't say enough good things about this place. Will DEFINITELY stay here again when we go back to the North Shore. I wouldn't even waste my time in Waikiki again. Staying in the North Shore really gives you a feel for what Hawaii is all about. Walking distance to all the major surf spots and world class snorkelling at Sharks Cove is only a 5 minute walk away. The grocery store is a minute drive which was really convenient and it has almost everything a larger store would have. Save yourself the hassle of searching for somewhere else, this place is your ticket to relaxing.

The Surf Cottage
It was a beautiful house in a great location. A perfect place to stay with our family! Close to the beach, snorkeling and hiking. Loved it!
However more dish towels would be helpful as well as a few more hand towels and some wash rags in the bathroom. Last but niot really a problem, the hot water could be turned down slightly. We love this house!!!

Nth Shore Luxe
I stayed at The Surf Cottage in December with my husband and another couple. The house was gorgeous, spacious with great amenities, 4 bedrooms, it is great for families or friends on vacation. The beach access is a huge bonus, great for an afternoon sunset. The cottage is in close proximity to Pipeline, Foodland, Pupukea Grill and a quick drive into Haleiwa Town or Turtle Bay. This will definitely be my go to location when we are back on the Nth Shore, private and secure in a gated enclave, it is so stylish and relaxing you may never want to leave. I have already suggested this place to friends! Already looking forward to coming back.

Best place EVER!!
I seriously can't say enough wonderful things about The Surf Cottage. Our family of 6 was so comfortable and truly feel that we had the best beach on all of Oahu. With a wonderful access, it felt beachfront even though it wasn't. We spent so much time at the beach watching sunsets and drinking our morning coffee. It was perfection!! It was SO clean, had any amenity we could ask for and we felt safe in this local neighborhood. Can't thank you enough for such a wonderful stay and for such excellent communications! Will definitely be back some day!

Great house in a great location.
Had a wonderful stay. The Cottage was perfect for our group of 4 adults and it was such an awesome location. Foodland and Food Trucks were about a 5 minute walk away which was so handy. It would have been nice to check in before 3pm as we had travelled overnight from Australia and it was a very long day with no sleep, but I assume there must have been someone there until right before us. The North Shore was the perfect spot for us as it is very relaxed and laid back. We had a lot of great meals and cocktails, our favourite being Haleiwa Joes. Had some great meals and nights out at Turtle Bay Resort, Karaoke Wednesday night being a highlight. Ubers and Taxis were pretty scarce later in the night but there was a bus that runs along the main road which was brilliant. Absolutely loved Haleiwa Town. Loved all the little shops and eateries. We spent a whole day just wandering down the main street and shops. I would definitely recommend staying here and would definitely consider it again if I came back with my family.

Golf Trip
Our men's golf team had an amazing experience while staying at the Surf Cottage. The house was the perfect size for our team and the amenities the house provides was more than we expected. We took full advantage of preparing meals in the kitchen, as well as, going to a few of the local eateries to enjoy some local food. The fact that this place was just a few steps to one of the most incredible beaches our team has ever been to only made the trip that more memorable.

Manager Response: Glad your team could make it out to enjoy some sun on the beach instead of just on a golf course. We are happy to help make a memorable trip ! :)

Family Vacation
We stayed at the Surf Cottage a week ago and we had a fabulous stay. The cottage was as clean and beautiful in person as it was in pictures, and the main living areas were a lot more spacious than I expected. The location was perfect for our family--walking distance to Foodland, food trucks and Shark's Cove, and a short drive to Haliewa and north shore beaches. The beach behind the cottage was beautiful and easy to access. The surf was quite high when we were there but the kids had a blast jumping the waves. There were beach chairs, boogie boards, water shoes and beach toys in the carport which we used everyday.
The kitchen was well-equipped, even had spices, condiments and coffee already in stock. The BBQ grill came in handy when we didn't feel like going out for dinner.
The 2 bathrooms saw a lot of traffic with our family of 8 (5 of which were female). One of the bathrooms is an ensuite but we didn't mind the kids coming in to use it.
My only negative comment is from our 6 kids (ages 18, 19, 20 and 21x3). Two of the bedrooms are furnished with a queen bed but the girls insists they are just doubles. All four girls are petite and they felt cramped two in a bed. The boys, both 21, shared the room with two twin beds with no A/C. But the bed sizes was not a big deal. They all slept well the 3 nights we were there. Also, if you have a large vehicle, it will be tricky getting in and out of the carport. We had a suburban.
We had to contact management office via email a couple of times during our stay and they replied very quickly. I would like to add that management will ask you to leave unused food items in the fridge which they will give to people in need. We saw a lot of needy/homeless people in the north shore and we all thought this was an awesome idea.
Thank you Hawaii Beach Homes for making us feel at home on our vacation! Hope to see you again soon.
