- TURTLE BEACH 1 -
Relax in this spacious, sun-filled property located just steps from spectacular Laniakea Beach. This duplex unit is beautifully decorated in an upscale island style, and is equipped with a/c, internet, shared washer/dryer and bbq, two bedrooms and one bath. A large enclosed lanai offers guests either a second living room area, or can be used as a third bedroom. This unit comprises the entire first floor of the home and has a private entrance, the second floor can also be rented to accommodate large groups.

- THE BEACH -
Turtle One is located on the ocean side of the main coastal road, just five steps from the property your toes will be sinking into the soft sand. The house is adjacent to Laniakea Beach, famous for sunsets and sea turtles, and in extremely close walking distance to Chun's, another excellent beach for long walks and swimming. During surf season a number of prime surfing spots are located just in front or to the side of the property - Lani's, Holton's, Jocko's and Chun's Reef.

- THE NEIGHBORHOOD -
BEDROOMS : You can hike to the waterfall at Waimea Bay just down the road, or bike to the wonderful snorkeling spot at Shark's Cove. Guests of Turtle Beach House are offered discounts on bicycles, surfboards and stand up paddleboard rentals through Hans Heddemans Surf School, the North Shore's premiere surfing school and rental location. The house is located just two miles from the cafes, restaurants, and shopping in the friendly North Shore community Haleiwa.

Best kept secret on the island
We rent this home every year. It is perfectly located, reasonably priced and well appointed. The beach is literally steps from the back gate.

We came back to visit for my daughters wedding. This house was great. Long walks on the beach, BBQ and lots of relaxation. Fell in love with the North Shore community.

Turtles!!
This was a fabulous place! Just steps to the beach where we saw turtles basking in the sun everyday. There are lots of fish to see when you snorkel and we also saw some turtles feeding off the coral. The unit was lovely! Well furnished, lots of windows for cross breezes, comfortable beds and couches. There is no stove but be used the two hot plates to fry eggs and make rice. My husband loved the charcoal grill! The one downside to this place is the traffic noise on the Kam Hwy.

Perfect location for our Family of five
The house was fantastic for our family of five. The kids loved the yard and having the beach steps away. The ping pong table was a nice addition. The access to the best surfing beaches and an easy drive in Haleiwa was perfect. We had issues with the TV (no remote), and a few kitchen appliances, but general the appliances were all new and worked well. We had read about the noise from the street, but it was expected and didn't bother us. At night the sound of the ocean was all we heard. There was a group of 6 upstairs, but we never heard them. This is a great location for access to the best of the island, and far from the noise and massiveness of Honolulu.We were able to explore the entire island, but preferred this section and without a doubt Turtle beach was the best.

Couldn't be happier!
My wife and I brought our three young kids on vacation and rented this with another couple. It was perfect for us. We have vacationed to Oahu before and stopped at "Turtle Beach" to try and see some turtles. We were shocked to see how close to the beach we were. From the deck out on the lawn where you can grill, you can watch to see if any turtles have come up. We got to swim with two turtles one day and got to see three others a different day.
The house was very clean and the sheets were also clean (we have had a lot of issues at hotels with sheets not being changed). We were on the 1st floor of the home, so we didn't quite have the view of the ocean like the one picture shows (2nd floor view), but you can still see the blue water through the trees. The kids loved playing ping-pong and overall we just loved the place. They even had extra towels that were labeled "beach towels", so that was helpful. Outside, and on each end of the house there were outside showers that had hot water, so that was wonderful to be able to wash all the sand off the kids.
We met the owner when we showed up the first day and he was very helpful and kind. No complaints and when we vacation to Hawaii again, we really want to stay here because we had such a wonderful time. It's hard to beat being 15 ft from the property line to "Turtle Beach"!

So much living space in the two bedroom.
We enjoyed our time in this beach house. It was very comfortable. There is no stove or oven but there was a counter top little oven and a couple hot plate. I baked the best salmon in the oven. It worked great and so did the hot plate. There were only two of us. The kitchen was spacious and the house with lots of windows. We could see the ocean but could not hear the waves. It was a lovely clean home with a lot of living space.

Excellent Customer Service!!
Hawaii Beach Homes was outstanding when it came to making sure we had all of the information needed to enjoy our vacation and I would 100% use them again on my next trip. Our house was not fancy or new, but it was very clean and well appointed and was everything we needed for our trip. The best part of the property was the incredible location right across the street from Turtle Beach. You can actually see the waves from out of the window which is very cool. Hawaii Beach Homes was always available for any questions we had and I can't say enough positive things about our stay.

Excellent Home and Location
This is a great place to stay on the North Shore. My wife and I took our 4 grandsons and we had a wonderful time. The home was big with plenty of room for all of us. The beach was 100 ft away were we snorkels and watched the turtles come on the beach. The owners stopped by and were very nice and hospitable. I would highly recommend the vacation home.

Great place on the North Shore!
We loved our stay at E. Turtle Beach 1. The rental has only 2 bedrooms but a couple extra beds in the extra sun room, so would be great for families or groups. Everything was very clean and well maintained. We were welcomed by Hans, the property owner (also pro surfer!). Not the best cooking set up, since there's no oven and only a hot plate, but just what you need for vacation. Also, there's a big yard and great BBQ patio!
The location was perfect for seeing the North shore, right in between Waimea Bay and Haleiwa (prob a 5 min or less drive in either direction).

We'd stay there again, and I'd recommend it to others!

North shore turtle house review
We have rented the turtle beach house before and love the location on the North Shore. It had been painted since we were there last but everything else is very familiar to us. We adore the house and the location. Only a couple things to comment, The first one is an easy fix and pretty minor, the sliding Gate out front of the When is gymnastics and where? was malfunctioning and would set off an alarm when we opened the gate. Probably easy to fix but we didn't know how to fix it. I noticed the general maintenance of the yard was in decline. Many of the
native trees and bushes were overgrown and not cared for. Also some of the deeper cleaning inside the rental could be more thoroughly cleaned such as bath room fixtures and shower glass etc. the corners of the room, just looked like the place could use a real good deep cleaning. I don't want our comments to overshadow how much we adore turtle beach house. Whenever we come to Hawaii it is our favorite place to stay. The property management people were helpful and they were quite on the spot getting back to us about the gate issue. Thanks for that.

Thank you so much, I live in Western Australia and had to travel to Hawaii for 5 days. The house which is 2 miles from Haleiwa town is so lovely, although I would leave in the mornings; I looked forward to coming home at night to a beautiful, quiet, spacious, safe, relaxing, warm home. Just loved your queen bed, great sleep :) Property Management were very helpful, received info pack about the use of the home, directions and helpful tips. I had no problems and did not need to contact Property Management. Thank you so much, such a beautiful home.

What a Gem!
We had an amazing time here at Turtle Beach 1. This will be our new Go-To rental. By far and away our favorite spot so far! Our family travels to NS Oahu about 4 to 5 times a year so we have defiantly been around the block a time or two. Great location on a huge lot with absolutely no neighbors! This unit is so much larger than the pictures describe. All the amenities of home, tons of towels, lots of beach toys, 2 washers and 2 dryers, comfy beds, so much space to lounge in the living areas, 2 extra futons in the enclosed lanai, beautiful grounds, bbqs and right across from Lani's Surf break and a 2 minute walk over to Chun's Reef. Perfect!!! We took bikes to Waimea Bay to watch THE EDDIE run....about a 5 to 10 minute easy cruise. The same amount of time to ride into Haleiwa town. We were fortunate enough to find this great spot and will be back in a few short months...can't wait!!!!!

kick back and enjoy the north shore
Beautiful property not more than 50 steps from the beach. Although the property doesn't face onto the beach its not a problem. Layout of the property ideal and able to accommodate a number of families (including upstairs rental). Close to town/shopping, close to a number of beaches, parking/security not a problem. safe area for children. Renting the property was vey easy - no problems at all. only 'downfall' was no oven for cooking and no outdoor clothesline (although indoor dryers worked ok) - it wasn't a great problem for us staying 1wk but larger families might be looking for these things. if you are a couple or a family looking for somewhere to stay consider renting on the north shore rather than staying in Waikiki - its cheaper, more laid back and beautiful!! Waikiki is only a 60min drive away. will definitely return

Close To Beach
We had the upstairs and downstairs units in this house. It worked well. Great set up, laundry facillities, steps from a great beach. Heavy surf made it hard fir little ones. All in all great place to stay

We loved our vacation
Everything was perfect except for the lack of fans and cooling system. Ceiling fans would help a lot. The sliding glass doors and screen doors need repair work. But overall we loved it and had a great time!

North Shore Beach Rental
We had a great time at Turtle Beach 1. The property was clean, the check-in and check-out process was straight forward and the location was perfect. Our favorite way to start the day was to take our coffee and walk the beach in our pjs.

Great vacation rental
This property was very clean and comfortable. It was very well maintained. The renters upstairs were very loud and running around all night long but it was very peaceful once they left. It is right across the street from the beach where there were turtles sunning and very close to shopping. Nice, cozy place to relax and enjoy your stay.

Super Awesome Super Place by Turtle Beach
It was super cool. Awesome location. I surfed Lani's everyday and even got to watch the Billabong Pipe Masters and Triple Crown at Sunset Beach (less than 5 mins by car). On the last day, Waimea Bay was breaking and I had the opportunity to watch 7 pro surfers on one board! Supsquatch 4 lyfe. That was the coolest thing ever.

Fantastic stay! For the second time!
It was an amazing holiday. The Turtle 1 unit is positioned perfectly adjacent the beach and allows for surfing, snorkelling, close to Haleiwa for shopping, dining and enjoying the culture of the North Shore. It is very private and we utilised the outdoor grill in a tropical oasis of a garden! Highly recommend! It was just two of us so loads of room but would also suit larger groups.

Summertime at Turtle Beach
My family and I have visited Oahu many times in the summer, but this is the first time we've stayed in the North Shore area.

This rental home is positioned in a prime location, just steps from seeing the turtles basking in the sun and beautiful sunsets. This rental is the ground floor of a two story rental. If you don't occasionally mind hearing hard stepping guests on the second floor, then this is a great place to stay. The property has everything you need to enjoy your stay. This location is close to the main highway, but I heard footsteps more than vehicle traffic.

The property is well maintained and the only problem I experienced was low water pressure on one day. However a call to the office was made and the problem was quickly addressed.

The location is within ten minutes to famous Haleiwa, where there are several restaurants to enjoy, as well as a grocery store.

I would recommend this rental to anyone interested. It is a great value for the location!

A Week to Remember
The property was even more spectacular than what we had imagined. We love to cook, and this kitchen provided what we needed. The beds were so comfortable, a nice ending to a day spent snorkeling and turtle watching! A great place for families to reconnect!

Great Stay
The house is nicely updated with lots of room. Beautiful location steps to the beach and close to everything on the North Shore. Would like it if the BBQ was a little closer to the house as it's a walk through the jungle and at night a little scary. Otherwise I would stay there again.

Pictures Didn't Do Justice
My wife and 4 children opened the door and our jaws dropped. We had just spent the previous week in a different beach home further up North Shore. We were blown away by the quality, size, cleanliness, location and overall look of Turtle Beach. I wish we had known how nice of a property we were renting so we could have stayed there for the whole duration of our trip. We had no complaints and check in and check out were the easiest of any place we have ever stayed. Thank you for all your help and please put some better pictures up so everyone can see how truly beautiful this rental is, the pictures we saw didn't do justice to this awesome north shore Hawaiian home.

A Beautiful Beach Home next to the Beautiful Turtle beach!!!!!!!!
We really enjoyed the stay, the only thing about that weekend that it rained so hard and we had a power outage and the person that was on call was very helpful and also called us and followed up on us. I love the house it was very spacious, and the awesome part about
it the back yard leads you to the beach and the turtles were surrounding us while we were swimming, my grandkids enjoyed it so much. The only thing that bothered me was a noise that was coming from underneath the house it sounded like a radiator of some sort and it woke me up early in the morning. Other than that the beach house is so awesome and the people were very nice I switched from upstairs to downstairs and they were nice enough to help me switch. You have the options of asking to check in early and leaving a little later which I did, but I got denied on both, I guess they were busy that weekend. Other than that it's a awesome house and I might just do a staycation again with my family at that house. I highly recommend it!!!

AMAZING LOCATION
This home is amazing! The beach is a short walk and the turtles that visit daily are just beautiful! The only thing I think you should know is there is not an oven or stove. This may have been in the information but I didn't remember reading it. There is a microwave and hot plate. We did just fine without it! We have been back a little over a month and already want to return!We have teenagers and they loved it too! Mahalo!

My family and I had a blast...totally recommend it! Great rental!
Me and my family stayed at the lower floor for 14 days this January (2014), and we couldn't be more pleased! We were in 5 people, and the house was perfect for us.

The house is beautiful, the light is great, and so is every bedroom and space in it...The kitchen is amazing! I saw other guests talking about not having an oven in the house, but we didn't even need it. They have a microwave, a toaster, and a cooktop, which is pretty much what you need. Also, the North Shore of Oahu has several food trucks, with excellent and cheap food, which is where pretty much everyone has lunch/diner (not to mention the restaurants).

The owners warned us to be careful and to keep everything clean, since Oahu is an island and some insects are very common, but we didn't see any cockroaches, or any other kind of bugs other than ants, and they only showed up when we forgot to clean something.

On the noise, we weren't bothered at all. We've been to the north shore before, and we know that if you wanna be close to the beach, you'll be close to the street. You'll be able to hear the cars sometimes, but that's simple logic. The house is very quiet, the street in which it is located is very hidden and very safe.

The first two days we were there, there was a family renting the second floor of the house, and yes, the wood floor made some noise. But as long as you don't have a bunch of disrespectful and crazy people partying all the time upstairs, the noise won't bother you. People walk and "make noise" upstairs during the day, and unless you're renting the place to stay in and sleep all the time, you should be fine!

The location is perfect. You have Turtle Beach aprox. 15 steps from the house, and many others like Waimea, Pipeline and Sunset in less than a 5 min drive, not to mention Haleiwa Town!

The price is by far one of the best ones I've seen in the North Shore, and the house was everything we needed and expected!

Good for a family
The home was nice, close to beach and generally clean. It is very noisy as it backs onto the highway, which we didn't think would continue all night, but mostly it does. Also, upstairs is rented separately and although the two guys renting it seemed nice enough, they made ridiculous amounts of noise, the timber floors upstairs probably didn't help. Our toilet blocked and because it was the weekend, no one answered the phone when we called to report it.. There was no after hours number provided so we had to figure it out ourselves (a somewhat messy situation but it was resolved nevertheless). The grass out back (where the BBQ is) was long and really should have been cut before we got there, I had to keep my toddler from going out there as it was too long and would make his legs itch. The house is reasonably kept but there are small annoying things... Like we could only find one butter knife and although the sheets were clean I was suspicious about the quilt covers. We also found the kitchen sink was missing a plug, although they responded by delivering a new one the next day (still frustrating when you need it now!). The large tv in the lounge room makes a noise (could be the box?) but either way makes it difficult to watch... Didn't bother us too much as we weren't home all that much anyway. Overall though, most things were great and it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

A large,beautiful and cozy villa
The villa was very clean and comfortable. The garden was large and we could see rare plants such as palm trees. There was beautiful sand beaches near the villa and we could see several turtles swimming in the shallow sea. The only defect was that there was noise of traffic in the daytime because the villa was just near the highway. But at night it was quiet. Overall, we were much satisfied with the villa.

RELAXING VACATION IN AN UNSPOILED LOCATION
We enjoyed staying in the rented property with a beautiful garden consisting of lush tropical vegetation very much and wish we could prolong our vacation!We recommend this property to anyone - families, couples and singles! We will be glad to return in the same house next time and with more time available! Sandy beach with turtles is just across the road, the sea is crystal clear with sea monks and enough big waves to surf or just to swim in a bay, the supermarket is only a couple of minutes away by car, several amenities are situated 5 to 25 minutes car drive (ancient Polynesian settlement Waimea Valley, Polynesian Center of Culture, Turtle Bay Center with the surfing school of Mr. Heinz Hedemann - email: , city of Haleiwa... even the international airport of Honolulu is just 40 minuts car drive away - practically the whole island of Oahu can be easily visited by staying in the subjected house)!
Compliments as well to the house maintenance and the cleaning service! The management of rented property reservation process, check in/out was carried out expeditiously and highly professional! Excellent!!!

Get me off the mainland!
Overall I thought the house was great. The code to get into the house was wrong, but the management company was great to correct that problem very fast. The only issue I really had with the house was the pretty significant amount of little red ants that seem to hang out in the kitchen and the bathroom. Only other question was, every kitchen appliance you could think of was in the house, minus an oven. Whats the deal? Overall though, it was great. I would hang out there again for sure and have already recommended it to my friends back home.

turtle beach
The place was clean and comfortable. Everything worked well. It was a little weird that there was only a hot plate and no stove but we did o.k. with it. The best part of the place is the 1 minute walk to a gorgeous beach. We swam in the morning and watched the sunset in the evening.

Great Turtle Beach Location
Good location - Fun to watch turtles without having to fight for a parking space!!!
Would have been nice to know clearly that there was no stove or oven in this unit;one of the burners on the two burner hot plate was not working and there was not a toaster oven (as listed). As for the kitchen, kind of like camping in a house. Simply adding a mirror or two in a house with one bathroom would have been nice--not just one in laundry area. A bit of road noise with windows and doors open for ventilation. Great that there were two outdoor showers for rinsing dive gear and sand off from the beach. Accommodation comfortable otherwise. Need to get code situation solved.

Excellent rental! Beautiful location!
Our beach rental was bigger than I had expected. Very roomy, comfortable, and I definitely made myself at home. I loved the location and it was in excellent condition. There were enough beach towels to last us an entire week, and the burners weren't difficult to use. It was convenient to have a washer and dryer, so we utilitized that amenity. The rental is gated and provided privacy with lots of parking space. I loved turtle beach in front of our rental, the same turtles would return every night and leave at dawn. I would definitely stay here again!

Great house, seeing the turtles on the beach and in the water every day was special....the only "negative" was traffic noise on Kam Hwy if you are a light sleeper, but ear plugs should solve that.

You get what you pay for.
If your going to stay on Oaho by choice. (the third largest of the Hawaiian Islands, however, it is the most populous of the islands in the U.S.) the North Shore in my opinion is the best place to stay. Having said that, the house we rented was in a good location, minus all the Traffic. There were a few discrepancies, but were addressed very quickly by the management. the yard needs attention. Overall, nice place to stay. I would recommend it.

Wonderful Property.. would definitiely recommend!
Such a nice location and the condo was exactly as described! The North Shore area is just wonderful and the turtles on the beach were amazing. Condo can easily house 6+ people but it only has one bathroom. Traffic sound was not a problem at night. Not having a stove not an issue as their is a grill outside. Great place for a family with small kids as it is totally enclosed property with an electric sliding gate. Would definitely stay there again and is a great value for the money!

Great Stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. No one was staying in the apartment above ours so we really enjoyed the privacy. The home was large and clean and every thing was just as pictured and described. We felt the gate and key process was very secure. There were some ants in the bathroom, but from what I understand this is typical for the area. The beach was only a few steps from the property and we saw sea turtles on the beach everyday. Glorious!

Great location.
The location is perfect for families with children or anyone wanting close access to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay and despite the proximity to traffic, the unit is quiet of a night.

North Shore on a budget
Everything was wonderful about the rental except the check in. We arrived late and no information was given to us about the gate lock. We sent about 20 minutes waiting for a code to unlock the gate. Then once you get up to the front door theres another lock (which we were given the code to), and then yet another door with another lock into the unit. Overall the place was awesome, very spacious and pretty clean, just very dark (some of the lights were not working). The couple upstairs were bummed out the next day because we were so loud getting into the house from the night before, but thats what you have to deal with when you rent a place with other people staying at it.

Northshore is amazing and this location is awesome, but you should know that the home is literally right in front of major traffic primarily due to a few sea turtles that beach themselves at the beach in front of the house daily. If you've seen a ton of sea turtles and don't care to stand next to 25 tourist taking pictures of one turtle causing a lot of traffic then you might not be so stoked. Just saying- although kids would love it.

Last words, super cool home, large living room and bonus room but there's only one bathroom so the home size could fit many more people but unfortunately there's not enough toilets to accommodate everyone especially after a surf session where everyone is dying in line to us it.

A good place to stay
We stayed in the downstairs unit (anyone looking at this spot should know there are 2 units; one upstairs and one down). The space is even nicer than it looks in the pictures (the sun porch is not shown, and it is huge, and has a bed where guests can stay) and it was clean and well-managed. The beaches are very, very close, and are awesome (note, tides are rough in winter!). It is very child-friendly here and it was a real plus that the spot is "compound-style" (ie, everything is walled in, with a good amount of yard space outdoors), so you can feel safe with the kids outdoors on their own. We would definitely stay here again. The lack of an oven was a bit challenging, but with the equipment provided (microwave, toaster oven, hot plates) our group of 6 made it work.

Enjoyed our stay.
My family of five (all adults) stayed at this property for two weeks at the end of 2012 / beginning of 2013, and overall we were pleased with the rental. The house does not have direct beach access, but two long stretches of beautiful beach are just a short walk away (~1 min in one direction and ~4 min in the other). These were great for reading, relaxing, and picnicking, and we also really enjoyed watching the waves and surfers (they are amazing!). In addition, the beach directly below the house is very popular with Hawaiian sea turtles, so that we saw sea turtles just about every day. There is also great snorkeling and convenient grocery shopping nearby (~10 min drive). On the downside though, the house is located right along the highway, so there was a significant amount of traffic noise.

The rental unit, on the ground floor of a two-story house, was generally as pictured, but it wasn't quite as fresh and bright as shown. Many things are now rather worn. For instance, the seats on all of the dining chairs were peeling and some of the bed sheets were faded and worn-through at the edges. Also, upon our arrival, the sheets on one of the beds did not smell clean, which seems to have happened to a previous reviewer as well.

One of the dryers was broken the entire time of our stay, which, from the previous reviews, seems to have happened on several other occasions. This was sometimes inconvenient, as the laundry machines are used by both rental units of the house. The water heater also broke during our stay, but for this, the rental management staff were very helpful and got it fixed by the end of the day.

In the kitchen, the two-burner hot plate worked fine for cooking. However, there were only two pots and very few plates and bowls. Also, the kitchen had some bugs, but hopefully the management staff will arrange for an extermination soon.

Great place to chill on the North Shore!
My husband and I had a great time and enjoyed our stay, especially the nearby beach where sea turtles come to feed and sleep on the sand. The unit was attractively decorated, immaculately clean and very well appointed in the kitchen and with electronics. Two cautions: Before the next guests arrive, management needs to fix the dryer that had a handwritten sign on it saying it was broken. If absolute quiet is important to you, be aware you'll be able to hear cars passing on the road. You may also want to inquire if guests will be on the top floor of the cottage; the wood floors don't muffle sound when someone is walking around. But overall, it was a great visit!

Perfect vacation!
We LOVED the house and the location right by the beach. The exclusive interior design and the beautiful yard, the beds, everything was great! We are already planning our next stay there for 2013! BTW, as you might see in other reviews, the house is close to a busy street, but we did not find the noise disturbing at night. One bedroom is away from the street anyway, but the noise is not that bad even in the bedroom that is closest to the street. I especially loved the turtles that come to the beach behind the house every day. It was amazing!

The house was nice with everything we could have wanted. They even had some beach toys and other toys available at the time. Air conditioning unit struggled a little at first, but then they sent somebody out to fix it, and it worked fine from that time on. Everything else was great!

Fantastic! Everything was perfect for us. The only thing you could do for us is to have made time go by slower. Excellent accomodations with all the comforts of home and more. Could have used a range but the hot plate sufficed.

Best family vacation
It was an overall great vacation and the turtle beach house exceeded our expectations. The kids had so much fun each day at the beach and the turtles were amazing. We saw so many each day too. My husband and I took walks along the beach in the morning or evenings and the beaches are beautiful. So secluded and calm. The snorkeling was so much better than Hanauma Bay too. There were tidal pools nearby for the kids as well. This wa one of our most relaxing and best vacation as a family. The house was big and spacious and had all the amenities. There were even boogie boards and beach chairs to use. The location was also nearby Haleiwa so we can get food or take out easily. Very convenient. A few things to know would be that it can get noisy with the highway when you are sleeping. A better cooktop would be nice as well. But overall, very nice place and location. We would recommend to our friends and will be back!

Turtles and Surfing
I stayed 6 nights in July with my daughter, her husband and two children ages 8 and 4. The location is fantastic, if you don't mind the highway noise (bring earplugs) and afternoon trafic around the turtles. You can walk a few yards South to see the turtles and a couple hundred yards North to a lovely beach where you can arrange a private or group surf lesson with North Shore Surf Girls. We were in the bottom unit of the property which does not have a stove, oven or dishwasher, so we grilled something every night and used mostly paper plates. The hotplates, toaster oven and mircrowave were sufficient for everything else. The cleaning crew let us peek in the upstairs unit which has a full kitchen and an additional bedroom. You could plan a visit with a large group of people and take both floors... three bedrooms upstairs and two down with a large bonus room on each level could handle a lot of guests. One challenge was the clothes dryer. There are two apartment size units, but one of the dryers was not working properly, so we had to wait for the other unit to be empty, which it never seemed to be. The airconditioning unit stopped working the last night we were there, other wise it was ok. All in all it was a great experience, and I would go back in a minute if I could.

Excellent property managed superbly with terrific staff!
We enjoyed our stay at the Turtle Beach House 1 immensely. It was ideally located ; the house was clean upon arrival and was across the street from a beach where sea turtles came to bask in the sun on a daily basis. Just down the path was a big sandy beach where we enjoyed many days in the sun. The management company was easily reachable and extremely helpful. As an example: the toaster oven wasn’t working when we arrived, but a simple call to the management company and they replaced it immediately. We had a very pleasant experience and would definitely rent this house or another from .

Vacationing with Turtles
We had a wonderful vacation staying at Turtle Beach 1. The home was lovely and comfortable and being so close to Turtle Beach it was an easy stroll down to visit with the turtles each day.
I have just a few comments for the Management Company to look into:
(1) the bath looked in need of a good cleaning
(2) we could find no teatowels to dry the dishes
(3) outside rubbish bins were nowhere to be found

Great Experience
We recently stayed at the unit and were pleasantly surprised by the great location. The very private road that leads to the house takes you to a great beach with turtles that rest right on the shore. The other end of the road takes you right to another beach that has great surfing. We also used the bus, which stops right at the end of the road and is very convenient to use when going to Haleiwa, as you don't have to deal with parking. The unit is very nice, rather huge with the second living/dining room. We found the kitchen to work perfectly for making breakfast and lunch, and drinks for the afternoon. There is also a grill outside. Great unit and a great location!

Fabulous North Shore pad
The house was very spacious, with two living rooms for us to stretch out across. I was at first a bit anxious about there being only one bathroom to share among 5 people but it didn't turn out to be a big problem. There was a more than adequate supply of towels and linens. The beach is right across the street where three turtles and a monk seal were nesting. It is a short drive into town (Haleiwa) to find restaurants and shops. It's a typical Hawaiian home, and thus ideal for a stay in the North Shore. I liked the fact that checking in was all automatic. We loved the house and felt very safe and comfortable there, it is a big part of our Hawaiian memories.

Excellent North Shore Beach House
We had an excellent experience at the Turtle Beach 1 and Turtle Beach 2 homes for a family of 6 adults and 2 children--lots of room for everyone. Short walks took us to beautiful beaches with sea turtles, big waves, and surfers. The town of Haleiwa was 10 minutes away with good restaurants and shopping. We were in easy driving distances of attractions in Honolulu and other parts of the island.

This house was spacious, welcoming, and very enjoyable. The huge lanai was an unexpected delight. It had a very large grill for outside cooking. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach every morning to look for turtles. Management responded quickly to a call on Sunday morning. Overall, it was a great place to stay. Drawbacks were that it has a single bathroom for the whole unit. In addition, the kitchen has no stove, only a countertop hotplate with two burners, a toaster oven, and small microwave oven. Preparing meals was not practical.

Great Stay with the Honu!
We TOTALLY enjoyed the location and the facility. On arrival the kitchen and bathroom weren't really clean, and the kitchen was poorly equipped. The hot plate was temperamental(either wouldn't get hot or stayed too hot), the toaster oven too small to bake in, and the cooking equipment kind of pathetic. A good-sized electric skillet would have been a great addition, as would a good sized skillet with a lid and a larger pot with lid. There was no cutting board! There was only 1 roll of T.P. and 1/2 roll of paper towels. We and the upstairs unit got locked out of our bathrooms because of the type of lock used; this problem was promptly resolved by the maintenance guy. We had a great stay and really enjoyed the unit, however, and would not only stay there again, but heartily recommend it.

Turtle Beach last minute stay
All the staff we encountered were extremely helpful. We needed a last minute place. There was a bit of traffic noise but it died down after the weekend. Beautiful sea turtles came to rest on this beach every day, less than one minute from the house! Everything about the house was clean, lovely and modern. If we were not last minute i might have chosen a place further from the main road, but it was very convenient and easy to get to other sights both north and south.
